The revolutionary integrated electric propulsion and steering control system, now offers enhanced capabilities and refined control features that build on the design of its predecessor.

Building on the design of the original HARMO, this next-generation model combines a new design, more configuration options and a choice of control packages.

The new HARMO 2.0 incorporates a refined design and an expanded control interface, now available in a joystick-only configuration for single and twin applications. The joystick-only control makes HARMO even easier to operate, offering intuitive control in tight spaces and challenging environments.

An advantage of HARMO 2.0 is full integration with Yamaha’s HelmMaster EX. With this feature, HARMO owners gain access to advanced functionalities like Autopilot and SetPoint. Autopilot assists with easier navigation, while SetPoint enables precise positioning, ideally suited to moments of stillness whilst angling. Together, these features bring unparalleled ease and control to the boating experience, allowing users to relax and enjoy their time on the water.

HARMO’s powerful rim-drive motor and Digital Electric Steering (DES) deliver rapid responsiveness for precise manoeuvring around docks, quiet idling in sensitive environments, and seamless handling. The engine’s design also ensures a remarkably quiet operation, allowing boaters to fully immerse themselves in the sounds of nature or stalk twitchy whoppers when angling.

Yamaha’s newest HARMO Electric Outboard represents a significant step forward in electric propulsion, marrying Yamaha’s decades of marine engineering expertise with the latest in sustainable, user-friendly technology. This release reinforces Yamaha’s commitment to innovation in the rapidly evolving marine electric propulsion market, delivering a product that combines performance, convenience, and environmental responsibility.

Yamaha is also actively exploring opportunities in hydrogen-powered outboards and collaborating with industry leaders to develop the necessary infrastructure to make hydrogen a viable, sustainable option for marine propulsion.
