The Mercedes‑Benz eCitaro offers the proven Citaro platform, modular battery, charging and drive technology, a functional yet attractive design, and an unrivalled level of safety. It is also embedded in a comprehensive e-mobility system. As part of its sustainability strategy, Daimler Buses offers both electromobility and the appropriate digital services completely ex works from a single source.

The new eCitaro buses of Hamburger Hochbahn AG are equipped with the NMC3 battery generation, which supports a high emission-free range. They have a range of assistance systems such as Preventive Brake Assist and Sideguard Assist with functions that, in some cases, go far beyond what is required by the General Safety Regulation (GSR) of the European Union. The CO2 automatic climate control system with thermal management ensures a pleasant and comfortable climate.

Hamburger Hochbahn AG has been awarded the German Sustainability Award 2024. Hamburger Hochbahn AG received this award for its role as a pioneer of sustainable mobility in Germany, in which the transition of its public bus transport to electrified vehicles plays a key role. By the beginning of the 2030s, the entire bus fleet is to be converted to emission-free drive systems. Hamburger Hochbahn AG relies 100% on green electricity to operate its electric buses.
