Yamaha introduces new fully-electric propulsion HARMO outboards

Yamaha kicks off 2025 with new product offerings including an expansion of its HARMO line, available in single and twin configurations. With a 9.9 horsepower gasoline-powered equivalent rating, Yamaha’s new HARMO Electric Outboard is offered in 20-inch and 25-inch shaft lengths. The multi-functional, intelligent design of Yamaha’s newest HARMO Electric Outboard features industry upgrades in both boater convenience and comfort. Expected availability is early Spring 2025.

For boater convenience, HARMO single and twin outboards have the option of using lithium-ion batteries or Yamaha-approved traditional batteries. HARMO applications also benefit from added assurance with the Stage of Charge (SoC) battery status right on the gauge, allowing boaters to plan time on the water with confidence.

HARMO’s rim-drive technology and mid-section Digital Electric Steering (DEC) generate immediate response to boater controls and vigorous thrust—perfect for smooth maneuvering around the docks or slinking over a favorite fishing hole.

Boaters benefit from the practicality of a standard, conventional mounting bracket, and low-profile rigging tube, designed to ensure ease of mounting on a variety of transoms and pontoons.
